Hello,
Harston Primary School is about to enter it’s 150 year, in 2024. There is a very proud heritage here as a Primary School serving the local community of Harston. Harston Primary School is committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment for all students. We understand that students reach their full potential only when they are happy, healthy and safe, and that a positive school culture, where student participation is encouraged and valued, helps to engage students and support them in their learning. Our school acknowledges that student wellbeing and student learning outcomes are closely linked.
The school is known to families for its strong emphasis on differentiated learning. Harston is a safe, secure and happy environment where students love to come to school. For a small school it’s also incredibly well resourced with access to mobile art and library programs and part-time specialists to deliver Auslan, creative arts, sports and wellbeing lessons with a school counsellor as support.
My approach as Principal is to be flexible and supportive, with an emphasis on professional development and personal growth opportunities. Harston Primary is one of a number of small rural schools in the region sharing collegiate support, resources and participation in excursions and special events. We strive to provide a nurturing and challenging environment that empowers students to reach their personal best, both academically and socially.
Harston Primary School welcomes you and your family to our school. Come in and say hello.
